Registered in Kathmandu and operating in Lamjung District, we combine deep local expertise with rigorous engineering standards to develop projects that benefit communities, investors, and the environment alike.
A meticulously engineered run-of-river hydroelectric plant delivering clean power to Nepal's national grid.
A 7.5 MW run-of-river hydroelectric project engineered to generate 42.167 GWh of clean energy annually. Strategically sited on the Midim Khola in Lamjung, this project leverages a gross head of 202 metres and a design discharge of 4.75 m³/s. With minimal ecological impact, it aligns with Nepal's national energy security vision and NEA grid integration mandate.
Messages from the leadership of Bhujung Hydropower Limited reflecting our commitment to clean energy, sustainable infrastructure, and long-term value creation for Nepal.

Managing Director
Welcome to Bhujung Hydropower Limited, where we focus on providing clean, reliable, and sustainable energy. As part of the hydropower industry, we strive to harness water’s power efficiently while ensuring environmental responsibility. Our expert team is committed to innovation, advancing technology, and optimizing energy production. We believe hydropower drives economic growth, enhances energy security, and supports environmental stewardship. Thank you for visiting, and we look forward to building a cleaner, sustainable future together.
Our leadership remains focused on clean generation, transparent governance, community benefit, and sustainable growth for future generations.
Building power responsibly — for the land, the river, and the people of Lamjung.
Full compliance with Nepal's Environmental Protection Act, IFC Performance Standards, and World Bank environmental and social safeguards for hydropower development. EIA approved by the Ministry of Forests and Environment.
Run-of-river design produces no greenhouse gas emissions during generation. Every kilowatt displaces fossil fuel alternatives, actively reducing Nepal's carbon footprint and contributing to global climate goals.
No reservoir impoundment — the run-of-river system diverts only the necessary minimum water flow, preserving downstream ecosystems, aquatic biodiversity, and the natural morphology of Midim Khola.
Active investment in the Bhujung community: local employment, infrastructure support, schools, roads, and healthcare facilities. Reforestation programs plant over 2,500 trees annually in Lamjung district.
Priority hiring for skilled and unskilled labour from Bhujung and surrounding villages during construction and operations. Skills development programs to build long-term renewable energy expertise in the region.
Contributing directly to Nepal's national target of 15,000 MW by 2030. Clean domestic generation reduces dependence on imported power from India, improving the nation's energy trade balance and grid resilience.
Building power responsibly — for the land, the river, and the people of Lamjung.
We utilize Nepal’s natural water resources through responsible hydropower development, generating clean electricity with minimal environmental impact and supporting the nation’s transition toward renewable energy.
By contributing reliable power to the national grid, we help strengthen Nepal’s energy security, support industrial and economic growth, and create lasting opportunities for local communities.
We apply forward-looking engineering, efficient project management, and environmentally conscious practices to build hydropower infrastructure that remains sustainable for generations.
